Description

Guntram entered the world as a son of declining nobility, owning only a minor holding. Despite his family's hardships, he was afforded a good education and was trained from an early age in the rigors of aristocracy. Growing out of childhood, Guntram was sent to live in the court of Sir Dagonet Svet, one of the nobles of the land. There his first lessons were in humility, as he served the lords of the house. But from their games of strategy and their gossip, he learned about the adult world of conflict.

As Guntram was growing up, the time had come for him to be named a squire to Sir Dagonet. He spent a great deal of time learning how to handle a variety of different weapons, and how to take punishment, and he followed his lord on military campaigns, carrying his armour and shield, maintaining his weapons, saddling his horses, and carrying his flag into battle,
but aside from disciplines of the martial variety, he also learned about the also learned about the shadier side of the nobility: ruthless politics and intrigue.
